It still seems like yesterday when I really started to think…

about how I could make money online. I remember saving endless favourite pages in my browser just in case I needed a reference point. I even joined a lot of online survey companies, that didn’t last long I can tell you. It wasn’t all that it was cracked up to be, not for me anyway.
But having gone through all the shiny objects that a newbie must go through, yes, it’s a rite of passage.

I have found that there are some bonafide ways, legally to make money online. I don’t have any order, everyone will have their priorities, but incase your reading this at a time when you’re seriously thinking about jumping into shark infested waters, namely online marketing and its derivatives, then here are a few things for you to consider.

Set up your blog.

Now I know that this doesn’t sound exactly ground-breaking, but you’ll be surprised how many people buy the latest digital info product that claims to turn your laptop into a cash machine, without the need of a website.
Ok, let’s just dispel that shall we. If you didn’t need a blog or website, as a hub for your online endeavours then why are there over 1.8 billion sites online?
According to the Netcraft January 2018 Web Server Survey, most of those sites get almost no visitors. Now there’s an opportunity if ever I saw one. Of course, they are not all owned by people trying to make money online, but it’s safe to say a lot of them are.
So, don’t try to reinvent the wheel, build a solid foundation for your money-making ideas to launch from, its really the best real estate you can own, from an online perspective.

Do the necessary building of your blog and be patient, also just make sure it’s full of quality content. A lot of people cut corners with this but be focused about it. The main search engines will love you for it, not to mention the flood of subscribers you’ll get for deliver excellent unique content.
Don’t listen to the naysayers who can’t be bothered to put in the work, blogging is not for them anyway.

Treat your blog like a labour of love, and then slowly but surely monetize it. You’ll need to promote your posts and content, through shares and social media platforms etc., but there are plenty of six figure salary bloggers out there that you’ve never heard of, making a living, just blogging about what they love. If you don’t believe it, just google it, check out YouTube, you’ll see many entrepreneurs out there doing exactly that.

You don’t need to be a literary expert, but you need to have either a passion or discipline for hitting the keyboard often and getting the creative juices flowing. Seriously though, that’s just like doing a little bit of exercise at first you get a little out of breath. But the more you do it the easier its get’s and if you start off writing about what you have experience of, it’s not that taxing.
You’ll be amazed at what you can achieve in a few short weeks. Now I know there are so many ways to make money online but setting up a blog should be high on your list if you have one. If you don’t have a list of ideas, just start your blog anyway, don’t procrastinate anymore just do it today.

Keith, a fantastic reminder that patience is required with developing an online business. There’s no such think as a free lunch or in the online world anything like instant income. Hard work and right mentorship are part of the success formula in my opinion
